Edition 2025 — Fruit and Vegetable Festival

The 2025 edition of the Borgagne Fruit and Vegetable Festival took place from July 31 to August 2 in the Villa Comunale, starting at 9:00 PM with free admission. Three days dedicated to Salento garden produce, with homemade tastings by the Pro Loco, folk dances, and displays of lace and embroidery.

Fruit and Vegetable Festival 2025

In 2025, the Villa Comunale of Borgagne hosted the traditional Fruit and Vegetable Festival from July 31 to August 2, with stalls opening around 9:00 PM and free admission. The members of the Pro Loco prepared the specialties that make the festival famous in a homemade style: eggplant meatballs and 'doppiette', parmigiana, Borgagne-style focaccia, vegetable pasta, pimmitori scattarisciati, bruschetta with anchovies and ricotta forte, grilled meat, pezzetti di cavallo, seasonal fruit, spumoni, and local wine.

Between dances, the evenings were enlivened by folk music and folk groups, confirming the festival as one of the most attended events of the summer in Melendugno.
