Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony's Bonfire

During the weekend of January 18-19, 2025, Filacciano lit its Bonfire of Saint Anthony the Abbot along with other villages in the Tiber Valley. The great fire illuminated the night in the historic center, renewing the ancient folk tradition linked to the saint and the legend of the fire, amidst conviviality, local products, and the warmth of the community gathered around the flames.

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Bonfire of Saint Anthony the Abbot in Filacciano took place over the weekend of January 18-19, coinciding with similar events in neighboring towns of the Tiber Valley. As documented by local press, bonfires were lit throughout the valley during those days, from Castelnuovo di Porto to Ponzano, with Filacciano among the protagonists of the tradition.

The great blaze, lit in the historic center of the village in the province of Rome, drew the community together around the fire for an evening of celebration and conviviality, in the spirit of a winter ritual passed down for generations in Lazio.
