The historic jazz event of the Milan area
The Bollate Jazz Meeting, known as Jazz a Bollate, is one of the longest-running jazz festivals in the metropolitan area of Milan. It takes place in Bollate (Metropolitan City of Milan), at the Auditorium Don Bosco in Cascina del Sole, and every spring it offers a review that focuses on the piano playing and the great voices of Italian jazz.
The Red Records Fiftieth Anniversary Edition
The 28th edition, titled "Understanding Jazz", is a special edition: it celebrates the 50th anniversary of Red Records, the historic Milanese record label that has shaped the history of Italian jazz. Alongside the five main concerts, the festival expands to include cinema, graphics, and photography, for a total of nine events that explore jazz from all angles.
The protagonists
The 2026 lineup features some of the greatest Italian pianists: Enrico Pieranunzi, Danilo Rea, and Franco D'Andrea, alongside the young Turkish talent Hakan Başar and an opening ensemble with Cavallanti, Tononi, Succi, and Parrini. Among the cinema screenings and talks, there is also a film dedicated to Massimo Urbani, a graphic exhibition on Red Records covers, and a photographic presentation.

The 28th edition of the Bollate Jazz Meeting, titled "Understanding Jazz", takes place from March 9 to April 30, 2026, at the Auditorium Don Bosco in Cascina del Sole (Bollate).
Five main concerts are dedicated to great Italian jazz piano playing, in a special edition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the historic Milanese label Red Records. The festival also extends to cinema, graphics, and photography with four parallel events.
