Edition 2025 — Black Bread Festival
On Saturday, August 16, 2025, a new edition of the Black Bread Festival was held in the square by the cable car station in the hamlet of Chardonney, Champorcher. The day began at 10:30 AM with the distribution of freshly baked rolls, sweets, and black bread ('pan ner'), produced according to the traditional recipe based on rye and wheat flour.
From 6:30 PM, the Chardonney square hosted a tasting of typical Aosta Valley cuisine dishes, in an atmosphere of celebration and conviviality. The event, organised by Pro Loco Champorcher, confirmed the strong link between the Champorcher community and Alpine bread culture, as well as its gastronomic traditions.
