Birre al Castello 2025: the fifth edition

From August 16 to 18, 2025, the Castello Volante of Corigliano d'Otranto hosted the fifth edition of Birre al Castello, opening every evening from 7:00 PM. The highlight was the selection of approximately 80 craft beers on 60 taps, featuring nine Italian breweries, including Bastian Contrario, Birranova, Birrificio del Vulture, Delta Esse, Resaka Brewing Tribe, Sbam! Social Brewery, and Schigibier, in addition to a selection of seven US breweries via CDP Import.

In the Moat, the street food area offered Salento specialties and traditional dishes, while the Sulle Vie della Birra association and the Infopoint managed guided tours of the towers and moats, with tastings and meetings with brewers. Every evening featured live music and DJ sets (soul, funk, R'n'B, reggae) and children's shows on Sunday and Monday. Admission was 5 euros with a branded bag and glass, free for under 18s. The event was conceived by the Bluebeat Pub of Lecce with CoolClub and the patronage of the Municipality of Corigliano d'Otranto.

2025 Program

• Saturday, August 16 - Opening from 7:00 PM; tastings at the taps, street food in the Moat; vinyl selections of soul, funk, and R'n'B; guided tour of the castle.
• Sunday, August 17 - Tastings and dinner with the brewer; guided tour; DJ set and live performance by Insintesi with reggae, roots, and jungle; children's show.
• Monday, August 18 - Closing night with DJ sets and artists ranging from swing, rock'n'roll, and rap; children's show.
