Birra e Sound is one of Puglia's most beloved summer events, drawing thousands of people every year for a mix of live music, street food, entertainment, and flowing beer. Established in Leverano in 2007, the festival has grown with every edition to become a cornerstone of the Salento summer, successfully combining a passion for craft and international beer with a rich, diverse musical program.

The 2026 twentieth edition moves to Galatina

After nineteen years in Leverano, in 2026 Birra e Sound takes a major step forward by moving to the Galatina Exhibition Center, in the heart of the Lecce province. The twentieth edition, titled "Birra e Sound University", spans over 10,000 square meters and offers over 200 selected beer varieties, food courts, shows, live performances, and DJ sets. The Municipality of Galatina thus welcomes an event that has established itself as one of the highlights of the Apulian summer calendar.

A journey through the world's pubs

The festival's concept is that of a large beer village inspired by international pub culture: England, Denmark, Spain, Germany, Ireland, and Scotland come to life in the food stalls and beer taps, with over 200,000 liters of beer served throughout the event. Alongside the beer, a wide range of street food and local traditional dishes accompanies the evenings.

Music for all generations

The musical lineup is the true engine of the festival, featuring a bill that alternates big names from the national scene with stars of Salento music. The evenings range from pop to the sounds of pizzica and taranta, from reggae to 90s revivals, with concerts on the main stage and DJ sets until late at night.
