The Rovigo stage of the Biblical Festival, featuring encounters, performances, and reflection on the year's theme
The Biblical Festival is a broad-ranging cultural event, travelling and spread across ten cities in Northern Italy, which dialogues between the Bible and philosophy, art, science, and the great themes of contemporary life. The Rovigo stage is organised in collaboration with the Diocese of Adria-Rovigo and takes place in some of the most evocative locations in the capital of Polesine.
The encounters are held in spaces of strong identity value: the Temple of the Blessed Virgin of Mercy, known as La Rotonda, the Gardens of the Two Towers, and the Museum of the Great Rivers. The setting enhances Rovigo's historical and artistic heritage and accompanies a programme of dialogues, biblical encounters, meditations, and performances.
Each edition of the Biblical Festival revolves around a theme, interpreted from theological, philosophical, and contemporary perspectives, with contributions from speakers and guests from diverse fields โ from culture to sport. The Rovigo stage, with free admission, is one of the most qualified cultural offerings of the year for the city and for the Diocese of Adria-Rovigo.
The 22nd edition of the Biblical Festival is themed 'The Power of Limits' and stops in Rovigo from May 7 to 10, 2026, as part of a provincial programme that begins as early as April 27. The Rovigo programme offers encounters, dialogues, meditations, and performances in the city's symbolic locations: the Temple of La Rotonda, the Gardens of the Two Towers, and the Museum of the Great Rivers. The theme explores limits as a constitutive dimension of the human experience โ a space for meaning, relationship, and freedom โ and power understood as care and responsibility. Among the guests are former volleyball player Andrea Zorzi and speakers on sports, philosophy, and science. The stage is realised in collaboration with the Diocese of Adria-Rovigo, with free admission.
The provincial preview begins on April 27. The full programme, with times and speakers, is published on festivalbiblico.it.
