About Biblical Festival

The Biblical Festival is a travelling cultural review that involves ten cities in Northern Italy, intertwining Bible readings, contemporary thought, philosophy, art, and science. The Rovigo stage brings encounters, dialogues, meditations, and performances to the capital of Polesine, hosted in symbolic locations of the city โ€” from the Temple of La Rotonda to the Gardens of the Two Towers, up to the Museum of the Great Rivers. A free-entry cultural proposal that opens the biblical text to dialogue with the great themes of the present.

The Biblical Festival in Rovigo

The Biblical Festival is a broad-ranging cultural event, travelling and spread across ten cities in Northern Italy, which dialogues between the Bible and philosophy, art, science, and the great themes of contemporary life. The Rovigo stage is organised in collaboration with the Diocese of Adria-Rovigo and takes place in some of the most evocative locations in the capital of Polesine.

Symbolic Locations of the City

The encounters are held in spaces of strong identity value: the Temple of the Blessed Virgin of Mercy, known as La Rotonda, the Gardens of the Two Towers, and the Museum of the Great Rivers. The setting enhances Rovigo's historical and artistic heritage and accompanies a programme of dialogues, biblical encounters, meditations, and performances.

One Theme, Many Voices

Each edition of the Biblical Festival revolves around a theme, interpreted from theological, philosophical, and contemporary perspectives, with contributions from speakers and guests from diverse fields โ€” from culture to sport. The Rovigo stage, with free admission, is one of the most qualified cultural offerings of the year for the city and for the Diocese of Adria-Rovigo.
