The Biblical Festival in Conegliano
The Biblical Festival is one of the most important cultural events in the Northeast dedicated to the dialogue between sacred text and contemporary thought. The Conegliano stage, in the province of Treviso, is curated by the Diocese of Vittorio Veneto and takes place mainly at the Convent of San Francesco and the city's Cathedral.
Dialogues, Concerts, and Meditations
Each edition revolves around a theme that serves as a common thread for the meetings. Philosophers, writers, theologians, artists, and cultural figures from Italy take turns in public dialogues, readings, concerts, and moments of meditation. Most of the events are free to enter, often with prior booking, making the Festival an accessible cultural opportunity for everyone.
A Cultural Network in the Veneto
The Biblical Festival is not just about Conegliano: the event spans multiple cities in the Veneto region—including Vicenza, Verona, Padua, and Rovigo—making the Marca Trevigiana and the entire region a large laboratory for discussion. The Conegliano stage stands out for its evocative setting within the city's historic and religious spaces.
Biblical Festival — edition 2026
The 22nd edition of the Biblical Festival in Conegliano took place from May 7 to 10, 2026, on the theme "The Power of Limit", featuring fifteen events and nearly forty guests.
The program intertwined philosophical and theological dialogues, concerts, and moments of meditation, between the Convent of San Francesco and the Cathedral of Conegliano. Among the guests were poet Mariangela Gualtieri, philosopher and writer Edoardo Camurri, Father Guidalberto Bormolini, Ines Testoni, and numerous other voices from Italian culture. All events were free of charge.

- 6:00 PM — "Power Under Measure" with Alessandra Morelli, Giacomo Marramao, and Tiziana Bagatella
- 9:00 PM — "Sound Ritual", concert with Mariangela Gualtieri and Lemmo
Saturday, May 9 — Convent of San Francesco
- 11:00 AM — Meeting with basketball player Giorgia Sottana and Paolo Tonon
Sunday, May 10
- 7:30 AM — Meditation with Don Paolo Scquizzato (Convent of San Francesco)
- 9:00 PM — Concert "Francis of Assisi — The Courage to Become Small" at the Cathedral of Conegliano

How to get there
Conegliano is served by the train station on the Venice-Udine line and by the A27 motorway (Conegliano exit). The Convent of San Francesco and the Cathedral are located in the historic center.
