About Biblical Festival Este

The Biblical Festival, one of Italy's most important cultural and spiritual events, also stops in Este: for a few days in May, the Abbey Cathedral of Santa Tecla, the Ss. Redentore Patronage, and the Gabinetto di Lettura host biblical meetings, dialogues, and reflections with theologians, biblical scholars, and voices from contemporary culture. An opportunity for thought open to believers and non-believers.

The Biblical Festival in Este

The Biblical Festival is a nationally significant cultural event that each year proposes, around a central theme, meetings, dialogues, performances, and workshops dedicated to the Bible, read as a shared cultural and spiritual heritage. Founded in Vicenza, the festival now involves numerous cities in the Northeast, including stages in the Diocese of Padua.

The Este Stage

In Este, in the province of Padua, the festival takes place in symbolic locations within the city: the Abbey Cathedral of Santa Tecla, the Ss. Redentore Patronage, and the Gabinetto di Lettura in Piazza Maggiore. The events feature biblical meetings and dialogues with theologians and scholars, in a journey that intertwines Scripture and current affairs.

Culture Open to All

With free admission, the meetings of the Biblical Festival in Este are designed for a broad audience: an invitation to reflect on the great themes of existence starting from biblical texts, in dialogue with contemporary culture and experience.
