Every year on April 30th, the world celebrates International Jazz Day, proclaimed by UNESCO. In Nembro—a municipality in the Seriana Valley, in the Province of Bergamo—this day coincides with the final concert of the Bergamo International Jazz Day, an event that highlights young jazz talents.

One Hundred Under-30 Musicians on Stage

The event, hosted at the Auditorium Modernissimo, brings together a large number of ensembles and over a hundred musicians under 30 from Bergamo and Northern Italy—from Brescia to Milan, from Pavia to Turin, and Crema. The program ranges from traditional jazz to electronic experimentation, with ensembles, groups, and soloists taking turns on stage in a long musical marathon. It's a valuable showcase for the emerging scene, giving space to those starting their jazz journey.

An Educational and Cultural Project

The event is conceived by CDpM (Centro Didattico Produzione Musica), a non-profit music school that has been bringing this initiative to numerous Italian regions for over a decade through a network of music schools. In Nembro, the event is supported by the Municipalities of Bergamo and Nembro and offers free admission, subject to availability. For Nembro and the Seriana Valley, the Bergamo International Jazz Day is an event that combines musical quality, youth development, and an international scope, in the spirit of jazz culture recognized by UNESCO.
