Bellini Marathon 2025
The 17th edition of the Bellini Festival took place from September 23 to November 3, 2025, between Taormina and Catania, with a program that spanned the entire catalog of Vincenzo Bellini, from La straniera to La sonnambula, from Il pirata to I Puritani, with a special focus on Adelson e Salvini, the composer's first opera.
The festival concluded on November 3, 2025, in Catania with the Bellini Marathon and the Extraordinary Concert at the Cathedral for the 224th anniversary of Bellini's birth, performed by the Coro Lirico Italiano Vincenzo Bellini, conducted by Pietro Valguarnera, and the Festival Belliniano Orchestra, conducted by Delio Cassetta, in the Cathedral of Sant'Agata which houses the composer's tomb.
