Battifollo Chestnut Festival

The 49th edition of the Battifollo Chestnut Festival was held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in the village of Valle Mongia, in the province of Cuneo. The gathering began at 10:00 AM at the Pro Loco hall in Piazza del Municipio, with the walk departing at 10:30 AM through the valley's ancient chestnut groves, returning around noon.

Following this, the convivial lunch (25 euros, drinks excluded) featured a local menu: vitello tonnato, leek flan with bagna cauda, celery, walnut, and tuma cheese salad, organic chestnut flour gnocchi with cheese sauce, wild boar with mashed potatoes, and hazelnut cake. In the afternoon, from 3:00 PM, roasted chestnuts were distributed, along with face painting, carriage rides (5 euros for adults, free for children), artisan stalls, and a local produce market throughout the day.
