Edition 2025 — Basicò Living Nativity

During the 2024-2025 Christmas season, the San Brasi district of Basicò hosted the Living Nativity, with village residents recreating ancient crafts and folk traditions of the Sicilian mountains. The route through the historic center alleys, with free admission, concluded with the performance of the Holy Nativity, in the intimate and cozy atmosphere typical of small Nebrodi villages.

For the 2024-2025 holiday season, the Basicò Living Nativity once again animated the San Brasi district, one of the oldest in the Nebrodi village in the province of Messina. Residents brought to life the ancient crafts and folk traditions of rural Sicily, guiding visitors along the alleys of the historic center up to the performance of the Holy Nativity.

The event, with free admission and a suggested donation, confirmed Basicò's commitment to preserving its roots and renewing the living nativity tradition every year during the Christmas period.
