Summer Suggestions 2025

The Barrea Summer Suggestions 2025 festival was held from Saturday, July 12 to Sunday, October 6, 2025, spreading cultural events throughout the village of Barrea, in the Province of L'Aquila, for over two months. Theatrical and musical performances enlivened Piazza Umberto I, Piazza Mammarino, and the Belvedere, while book presentations, open-air film screenings, and art exhibitions enriched the historic center and the Town Hall.

Among the traditional events of the season were the patronal feast of Santa Maria delle Grazie (August 17-18), the Orapi Festival dedicated to the wild mountain herb, and the return of the "Sounds on the Lake" Folk Festival (August 30), shared with the villages overlooking the lake. The festival, curated by the Pro Loco Vallis Regia of Barrea APS in collaboration with the Municipal Administration, combined nature, culture, and flavors in the heart of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park.
