Edition 2025 — Barrafranca Carnival
The 2025 edition of the Barrafranca Carnival, organized by the Department of Tourism, Entertainment, and Culture led by Claudia Ingala, offered a rich calendar of events in Barrafranca. On Shrove Thursday, the school masquerade parade started from Piazza Europa at 3:00 PM, traveling along Viale della Repubblica, Corso Garibaldi, Via Roma, and Via Umberto to Piazza Regina Margherita, where a masquerade dance party was held from 9:00 PM. On Shrove Tuesday, March 4, the grand masquerade parade crossed the town from Corso Italia to Piazza Regina Margherita amidst dance routines and choreography. To crown the festival, the traditional Pignatuna performance took place, along with a conference on February 22 titled "On the Barrafranca Carnival - Local Customs and Traditions".

Shrove Thursday
Parade of school masquerade groups: meeting at 2:30 PM at Piazza Europa, departure at 3:00 PM along Viale della Repubblica, Corso Garibaldi, Via Roma, and Via Umberto up to Piazza Regina Margherita. From 9:00 PM, a masquerade dance party with DJ Alex Faraci and DJ Roby Caputo.

Grand parade of masquerade groups from Corso Italia to Piazza Regina Margherita, with dance routines and choreography along the route.
Last Sunday of Carnival
Traditional performance of the Pignatuna, the recitation of the twelve months of the year.

Masquerade group rankings: 1st place "In Motu Vita Est"; 2nd place "La Fiesta di Catrina"; 3rd place "La Bella e la Bestia".
