Edition 2025 — Barbarossa Festival
The 63rd edition of the Barbarossa Festival, held from June 11 to 15, 2025, in San Quirico d'Orcia, re-enacted the 1155 meeting between Frederick I Barbarossa and the papal envoys with five days of processions, propitiatory dinners, and challenges between the Quartieri.
In the final competitions at the Horti Leonini, the Canneti District won the Flag-wavers' Pitcher and the Borgo District the Archers' Pitcher; the same districts also triumphed in the youth competitions of the Barbarossa de' Citti. The 2025 Emperor's Pitchers, made of ceramic and bronze, were dedicated to the Jubilee.
