The August 15th reunion for Baranello's people worldwide
The Emigrants' Festival of Baranello, in the province of Campobasso, is the August 15th festival that annually draws back to the hometown the many emigrants from Baranello, both within Italy and abroad. As in many villages in Molise—a land historically marked by emigration—summer becomes the time for return and reunion: families and friends gather, squares fill up again, and the community comes back together around its roots.
From August 12th to 15th, the historic center of Baranello hosts festive moments that blend music, gastronomy, and social interaction, organized by Pro Loco G. Zurlo. More than just a spectacular event, the Emigrants' Festival is a collective ritual of welcome and belonging, reinforcing the bond between the village and its distant children.
