Edition 2025 — Banderesi

The 2025 edition of the Banderesi Festival opened on Sunday, May 18, at 4:00 PM, with 'Le Some di Sant'Urbano', the symbolic parade that unites faith and tradition. The Historical Festival took place on May 24, 25, and 26, with three days of intense emotion featuring historical processions, flag-wavers, and a strong connection to the cultural roots of the Bucchianico territory, in the province of Chieti.

The 2025 Banderesi Festival renewed the ancient rite in honor of Saint Urban in Bucchianico. The opening took place on Sunday, May 18, at 4:00 PM, with the procession of the Some di Sant'Urbano, a symbolic and evocative parade that weaves together devotion and rural traditions. The Historical Festival then took place on May 24, 25, and 26, three days of re-enactment with costumed parades, flag-wavers, music, and the reconstruction of the famous ciammaichella. The event confirmed its role as a guardian of the Abruzzo village's identity, attracting visitors from across the province of Chieti.
