Masks and folk groups parade along the Garda lakefront
The Bacchus and Arianna Carnival is the traditional Carnival parade of Bardolino, in the province of Verona, on the Veronese side of Lake Garda. Dedicated to the two mythological figures linked to wine and the territory, it brings about 500 masks and folk groups from all over Italy to the historic center and the lakefront.
The real protagonists of the day are the children: entertainment areas are set up along the route, with free inflatables in Piazza Catullo and, in Piazza del Porto, balloons and face painting by the youth group of the Italian Red Cross. The parade crosses Piazzale Gramsci, Piazza Lenotti, and Piazza Guerrieri, concluding in Piazza del Porto.
Organized by the Bardolino Top Foundation, the Bacchus and Arianna Carnival is an eagerly awaited event of the Garda winter, capable of combining folklore, colors, and cheerfulness in one of the most evocative settings on the Garda.
The Bacchus and Arianna Carnival returns to Bardolino on Saturday, February 7, 2026, an event dedicated especially to the little ones. The parade, with about 500 masks and folk groups from all over Italy, will liven up the alleys of the historic center and the Garda lakefront.
