Five days of reggae, dub, and dancehall on the beach of Marina Palmense
The Bababoom Festival is one of the longest-running and most beloved reggae events in Italy. Every summer, it transforms the beach of Marina Palmense, a hamlet in the Municipality of Fermo in the province of Fermo (Marche), into a large international gathering for Jamaican music. For five days, the seafront becomes a village made of stages, sound systems, tents, markets, and international food stalls, all under the motto that has always accompanied the festival: "Peace Through Music".
What makes Bababoom special is its formula: not just a simple concert, but an immersive multi-day experience where you sleep in a campsite or bungalow just a few steps from the stage. The area is organized into several zones: the Main Stage for the big evening concerts, the Dub Area with sound systems, the Dancehall, the Beach Yard overlooking the beach, and the Jamaican Corner dedicated to DJs and selectors.
Alongside the concerts, the days are enlivened by numerous activities: workshops, body painting, graffiti experience, the Kite Park on the beach, the Space Buddha meditation area, the Baby Boom children's space, African percussion and dance, as well as the festival radio. The audience thus experiences both the nocturnal dimension of the live performances and the daytime dimension made of sea, sun, and socialising.
Born in 2012, Bababoom has grown to become one of the reference events for the reggae, dub, and dancehall scene in Italy, capable of attracting a loyal audience from all over the peninsula and abroad every year. The editions have hosted international names from Jamaican music alongside Italian protagonists of the genre, confirming the Marche region and the Fermo coast as a summer destination for lovers of upbeat sound.
The setting is the beach of Marina Palmense, on the Adriatic coast south of Fermo: a seaside resort that is easily accessible and well-served, which comes alive with unique energy during the festival. The festival also represents an opportunity to discover the Fermo territory, between the sea, hills, and villages of the Marche region.
The Bababoom Festival 2026, in its 13th edition, takes place from July 22nd to 26th, 2026, on the beach of Marina Palmense, a hamlet of Fermo (Marche). The five-day format with camping, sound systems, and a lineup mixing major international reggae stars and Italian scene protagonists is confirmed. The festival is divided into several areas โ Main Stage, Dub Area, Dancehall, Beach Yard, and Jamaican Corner โ accompanied by the usual collateral activities in the spirit of the motto "Peace Through Music".
The organization has already announced numerous artists for the 2026 edition, distributed across the Main Stage, Dub Area, Dancehall, and Jamaican Corner. Among the confirmed names:
