The contemporary scene in Bassano
B.Motion is the section of OperaEstate Festival Veneto dedicated to the languages of the contemporary stage. It takes place at the end of August in Bassano del Grappa (province of Vicenza, Veneto), transforming the city's historic center into a widespread laboratory of dance, theatre, and music.
Dance, theatre, and music
Every year, the festival presents dozens of new productions in the three disciplines, with a daily multidisciplinary program that alternates shows, performances, and world premieres. B.Motion has always been a showcase for young artists and stage research, part of the Italian and international artistic networks in which OperaEstate is a protagonist.
An international perspective
Alongside artists from Veneto and the national scene, the festival hosts companies and creatives from all over Europe, with dedicated country focuses. The shows are held in various spaces in the historic center of Bassano del Grappa, from theatres to outdoor venues, in constant dialogue between heritage and contemporaneity.

The 2026 edition of B.Motion enlivens Bassano del Grappa from August 21 to 30, with 35 new productions of dance, theatre, and music. The contemporary section of OperaEstate offers a daily multidisciplinary program in the spaces of the historic center, with a special focus dedicated to Switzerland and Lithuania.

August 21-30, 2026 — Historic center of Bassano del Grappa
Ten days with 35 new productions of dance, theatre, and music, in a daily multidisciplinary program in the spaces of the historic center. Among the announced artists and companies are Eric Arnal-Burtschy, Demetrio Castellucci, and the collective Dance Well Dancers, alongside protagonists of the Venetian and international scene. Special focus on Switzerland and Lithuania.

How to get there
Bassano del Grappa is reachable by train (Venice-Bassano and Trento-Bassano lines) and by car from the A31 Valdastico motorway (Dueville exit) or the A4. The shows take place in various spaces in the historic center.
