Edition 2025 — Avola Tuna Festival

The 2025 edition of the Avola Tuna and Ghiotta Festival took place in August in the "Mare Vecchio" seaside village, confirming its usual public success. Among the narrow streets of the ancient tuna fishery, visitors were able to taste grilled tuna, ghiotta with onions, and bottarga, accompanied by evening musical performances and the authentic atmosphere of the Avola maritime tradition, in a festival dedicated to the memory of the founder Paolo Tiralongo.

The 2025 edition of the Avola Tuna and Ghiotta Festival renewed its traditional appeal, enlivening the "Mare Vecchio" seaside village with the flavors and scents of the tonnara. Hundreds of locals, visitors, and tourists crowded the narrow streets overlooking the sea to savor grilled tuna and the famous ghiotta served with onions and local wine.

As per tradition, stands for tastings were set up along the village, alongside typical products and local crafts, while the evenings were accompanied by live musical performances. The event, organized by the Municipality of Avola together with the Tiralongo family, confirmed the community's deep bond with the culture of tuna fishing and the memory of its creator.
