The 17th edition, Ferragosto 2025
In the summer of 2025, the Swordfish Festival returned to Avola for its seventeenth edition, confirming its status as one of the most popular gastronomic events in the Val di Noto. The event, organized by Club Musica Sound, took place along Via Papa Giovanni Paolo II during the central Ferragosto period.
In 2025, the absolute star was once again swordfish, offered at the stalls in many variations: from the classic grill to traditional seafood pasta dishes, and even sandwiches. The evenings alternated tastings with musical performances and entertainment moments, with an area dedicated to children and a market of typical Sicilian sweets such as cannoli, crispelle, and almond biscuits. The event attracted numerous visitors and tourists vacationing on the Ionian coast to Avola.
