2025 Almond Festival

The traditional Avola Almond Festival was held on Monday, August 4, 2025, in Piazza Santa Venera, Avola (SR). The stalls offered tastings of typical almond-based products, from almond milk to traditional pastries, highlighting the Pizzuta, Fascionello, and Romana varieties of the Slow Food Presidium. Alongside the almonds, two other local treasures were celebrated: Nero d'Avola wine and the Syracuse PGI lemon.

The event was part of the 2025 Avola Summer calendar, which featured numerous events between August 1st and 15th. At the end of the festival, the public enjoyed a concert by Ugo Mazzei at the Town Hall, in an evening that combined flavor, music, and tradition in the heart of the baroque city.
