Avezzano Comix and Games

The first edition (2025)

Avezzano Comix and Games debuted from September 10 to 12, 2025, as the first nerd festival in the Marsica region, promoted by the Municipality of Avezzano under the artistic direction of the Scuola di Fumetto d'Abruzzo, led by Fabrizio Del Monaco. The event, initially set up in Piazza Torlonia and the city center, saw some activities move to Castello Orsini and municipal spaces due to bad weather.

The program featured a cosplay competition, gaming areas with role-playing games, Dungeons & Dragons and trading cards, manga and Japanese calligraphy workshops, meetings with authors like Fabrizio Faina and Marco Pizi, conferences on classic anime, drawing and character design labs, K-Pop performances, and a concert by the Orchestra I Musici Lotariani. A street food area completed the offerings along the city center streets.
