Summer 2025 in Avellino

The 2025 edition of the summer programming of the Municipality of Avellino was more sober compared to the following year: the entity's spending review limited the available resources and the program focused mainly on the second part of the summer, after Ferragosto.

The flagship project was the «Fairy Tale Festival – I tell you the city», funded by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and dedicated to the little ones: from August 15 to September 7, 2025, over thirty appointments including theatrical performances, creative workshops, ancient games, and animated readings. It kicked off at the Municipal Villa with «Mister Punch and Judy», then touched Villa Amendola, the Casina del Principe, the Lombard Tunnels, Piazza Libertà, and various neighborhood areas. The program was co-designed with twelve local associations, with the goal of bringing culture from the center to the suburbs.

Enriching the end of summer in the Irpinian capital was the Irpinia Mood Food Festival, from August 28 to 31, in the spaces of the Monumental Complex of the Bourbon Prison – Irpinian Museum, dedicated to the food and wine productions of the Province of Avellino. All initiatives were free of charge.
