Autumnal Sweetness 2025: the thirteenth edition

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, Picinisco hosted the thirteenth edition of Autumnal Sweetness, organized by the Picinisco Pro Loco with the patronage of the Municipality and the support of the Lazio Region.

The meeting was set for 8:30 AM in Piazza Ernesto Capocci, from where participants left for the guided mushroom foraging in the woods surrounding the village, accompanied by mycologists and experts. Upon returning, the mycological exhibition was set up, followed by the tasting of the traditional barley and mushroom soup.

The afternoon featured discussions with mycologists and naturalists and the award ceremony for the most beautiful mushroom; from 3:30 PM, traditional games dedicated to children began. In the evening, the village came alive with the music of the TerraNostra Folk Band, while the gastronomic specialties were prepared by chef Ben Hirst of Villa Inglese in Picinisco. Throughout the day, there were stalls featuring crafts and typical products of the Comino Valley.
