Edition 2025 — Mendel Pass Cycling Day
2025 Edition — the 19th
On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the nineteenth edition of the Cycling Day on the Mendel Pass was held. As per tradition, the pass road was closed to motor vehicles from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, in the stretch between Oberplanitzing (Kaltern) and the summit at 1,362 meters.
Along the route, at Matschatsch and near the summit, refreshment points with water and drinks were set up, also managed by tourist boards and municipalities on the Trentino side. Thousands of cyclists, mountain bike enthusiasts, and hikers took advantage of the day to climb the pass in total tranquility, in an event organized by environmental groups from Kaltern and Eppan as a concrete signal in favor of sustainable mobility.
