Edition 2025 — Lamb Festival

The 2025 edition of the Ateleta Lamb Festival took place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Bosco del Cavaliere. As per tradition, the local Alpini Group and Civil Protection livened up the day with food stalls dedicated to lamb and Abruzzo mountain specialties, from Ateleta-style polenta to arrosticini, accompanied by folk music in a setting of meadows and woods at the foot of the Majella.

The 2025 Ateleta Lamb Festival was held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Bosco del Cavaliere, confirming it as one of the most anticipated summer events in the Alto Sangro. The food stalls, open for lunch and dinner, offered grilled lamb with sausage and potatoes, Ateleta-style polenta and truffle polenta, gnocchi with lamb ragù, arrosticini, coratella, and pecora al cotturo.

The day was accompanied by the traditional lamb barbecue and folk music, organized by the Alpini Group and the Civil Protection Volunteers of Ateleta, in collaboration with local associations.
