Asti Palio

The 2025 edition of the Asti Palio took place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in Piazza Alfieri, on an important anniversary: 750 years since the first documented race of 1275. The day followed the established ritual: at 10 am the blessing of the horses and jockeys in the district parishes, at 11 am the flag-waver performance in Piazza San Secondo.

In the early afternoon, the majestic historical pageant departed from Piazza Cattedrale, with over 1,200 participants in medieval costume parading to Piazza Alfieri. In the afternoon, the elimination heats were held, followed by the final race with the awarding of the palio. In 2025 as well, the event confirmed its role as the most anticipated identity event for Asti and the entire Asti Monferrato region.
