Assunta Festival

The 2025 edition of the Assunta Festival was held on August 15th in the Castello hamlet of Pontechianale, in the Varaita Valley. The day combined the religious dimension, linked to the Assunta Chapel, with moments of music and conviviality for the local community.

As per tradition, the highlight of the festival was the fireworks display over the lake on the evening of Ferragosto: the fireworks, suspended between the mountains and reflected on the water at the foot of Monviso, attracted residents and numerous vacationers, confirming the event as one of the symbolic appointments of the summer in the upper province of Cuneo.
