The 24th edition of Art and Traditions was inaugurated on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Cappella del Crocifisso on Via Santoro, in Marcianise. Curated by the Pro Loco Marthianisi APS, the exhibition brought together five local artists—two sculptors and three painters—as part of the festivities in honor of the Santissimo Crocifisso, opened the previous evening by the Notte Bianca between Piazza Carità and Piazza Umberto I.

Art and Traditions 2025

The 24th edition of Art and Traditions opened its doors on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Cappella del Crocifisso on Via Santoro, in Marcianise, in the Province of Caserta. The exhibition, curated by the Pro Loco Marthianisi APS, proposed a painting and sculpture journey entrusted to five local artists: sculptors Michelangelo Cice and Nicola Erboso, and painters Pasquale Finelli, Raffaele Mezzacapo, and Antonio Zinzi.

The inauguration coincided with the start of the festivities in honor of the Santissimo Crocifisso, the heart of Marcianise's religious and popular identity: from the Notte Bianca on September 12 to the solemn celebration by Archbishop Pietro Lagnese and the procession on the 14th, up to the great concerts in Piazza Umberto I and the final fireworks display. In this setting, the exhibition represented the most intimate and meditative moment of the festival, with works displayed in a symbolic place for the city's devotion.

Highlights

Five local artists on display—Michelangelo Cice and Nicola Erboso (sculpture), Pasquale Finelli, Raffaele Mezzacapo, and Antonio Zinzi (painting)—in the Cappella del Crocifisso, on the opening day of the festivities for the Santissimo Crocifisso.
