Arrivano dal Mare! – International Festival of Puppets and Figures

The 50th edition of the International Festival of Puppets and Figures «Arrivano dal Mare!» was held from May 14 to 18, 2025, between Ravenna and Gambettola, marking a historic milestone: half a century of activity. The programme brought together over 40 shows, eight national premieres, and 22 companies from Italy and abroad, along with an international conference, two exhibitions, guided tours, and numerous public meetings.

The common thread of the edition was the widespread conference 'Half a century of figure theatre history', hosted in the Sala Nobile of Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste in Ravenna and, on Sunday, in the Sala Fellini in Gambettola, retracing the festival's history decade by decade. On May 17, the famous landing of artists took place in the Canale Candiano in the Darsena, with puppeteers, marionettists, and musicians reaching the Artificerie Almagià in a parade.
