Edition 2025 — Arbëreshë Historical Pageant
The 2025 edition of the Arbëreshë Historical Pageant of Biancavilla took place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, starting at 6:30 PM, inaugurating the festivities in honor of the patron saints of the town.
As per tradition, the procession of participants in late-medieval attire crossed the center of Biancavilla, starting from Villa delle Favare to reach the square of the Basilica of Santa Maria dell'Elemosina. The re-enactment, organized by the Associazione Rievocazioni Storiche Arbëreshë, re-proposed the scene of the arrival of the Greek-Albanian refugees led by Cesare De Masi and the placement of the Madonna dell'Elemosina icon, a symbolic moment of the city's foundation.
