ApritiBorgo 2025 - The Hidden City

The 19th edition of ApritiBorgo - ABC Festival was held from 11 to 15 August 2025 in Campiglia Marittima, in the Province of Livorno. The theme of the edition, "The Hidden City," led the festival to expand the spaces of the historic centre and discover new locations, with the Rocca included for the first time as a full part of the performance map.

Over two hundred performances were staged by twenty-five Italian and international companies, with fifteen different shows each night featuring street theatre, contemporary circus, clowning, music, and puppetry. Among the artists of the edition were the Russian-German puppet theatre company The Fifth Wheel, the theatrical improvisation of Tiziano Storti, the cabaret of Michele Crestacci, the French contemporary circus with aerial acts by Adriano Cangemi and Elisa Alcade, and specialists such as Thomas Goodman (soap bubbles), Federico Pieri (shadow theatre), and Gianluca Palma.

Five evenings (11-15 August 2025) with fifteen different shows each night, distributed among the squares, alleys, and the Rocca of the village.
