This is the idea behind Aperistoria - Enter History, the event that in Lomello, in the province of Pavia, transforms an aperitif into a medieval re-enactment. The setting is the evocative Borgo del Diavolo, in Via Castrovecchio, where participants are welcomed among ladies, knights, and tastings. The 2026 edition is scheduled for May 24.

Lomello and its Lombard history

Lomello is no ordinary village: it is one of the symbolic places of Lombard history in Italy, linked to the figure of Queen Teodolinda. This deep historical stratification provides a natural backdrop for initiatives like Aperistoria, which allow visitors to rediscover the town and its heritage in an experiential way, far from the classic guided tour.

The event is part of the Benvenuti in Lomellina 2026 review (May 22-24), a program spread across farmhouses, villages, and rice paddies in the Pavia plain, dedicated to discovering a territory often little known but full of charm. Aperistoria is one of its most characteristic events, organized in collaboration with the Contrada La Torre of Mortara.
