"Antichi Sapori" Living Nativity in Vicari

The 2024/2025 Christmas edition of the "Antichi Sapori" Living Nativity confirmed the much-anticipated annual appointment in Vicari, in the province of Palermo. In the Terravecchia district, the medieval heart of the town at the foot of the castle commissioned by Count Roger, performers in period costumes recreated the Nativity scene and the atmosphere of traditional rural life.

As per tradition, the event combined religious re-enactment with the rediscovery of the ancient flavors of the territory: along the route, visitors were able to sample specialties of the local peasant cuisine, from durum wheat pasta to boiled meats, to sweets with dried figs and honey, and spiced mulled wine. An event that attracts visitors from neighboring towns and the Sicilian capital every year.
