Annunziata Festival and Fair

The 2025 edition of the Annunziata Festival in Lizzanello confirmed the community's strong bond with the small chapel in the "Lu santu" district, in the municipality of the province of Lecce. As per tradition, the Marian occurrence of late March brought together inhabitants and devotees for the procession and the religious celebration, in an atmosphere of reflection and popular celebration.

The festival, which has its roots in the ancient devotion to the Virgin Annunziata and in the spring fairs of Salento, represented a moment of gathering and rediscovery of the village's identity again in 2025, following a tradition passed down from generation to generation.
