The animated shorts festival

In Saronno, in the province of Varese, there is a festival dedicated to a fascinating and often unsung art: animation cinema. It is called Animatica - Piccolo Festival di Corti d'Animazione and it brings to the courtyard of Casa Morandi a selection of international animated short films, the result of an open call to authors from all over the world.

Two evenings of international animation

The festival is concentrated over two late summer evenings, during which the selected shorts are screened. It is a rare opportunity to discover the best of contemporary animation, with its diverse techniques, original languages, and surprising stories, in an intimate and evocative setting in the heart of the city.

A grassroots cultural project

Animatica is organized by the Associazione Culturale Il Tassello with the contribution of the Municipality of Saronno. It is an example of how the cultural commitment of an association can give rise to a quality event, capable of attracting works from all over the world and promoting a film genre often confined to the margins. Admission is free.
