Edition 2025 — Animated Via Crucis of Ariccia
2025 Edition
The sixth edition of the Animated Via Crucis took place on Good Friday, April 18, 2025, with a meeting at 8:15 PM at the Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Galloro and a procession along the Appian Way, which was closed to traffic. The novelty of the year was the relocation of the final scenes - crucifixion, pietà, and deposition - to the grounds of Palazzo Chigi, replacing the traditional Piazza di Corte.
Organized by the Amici per Caso APS Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Ariccia, the event saw the participation of over a hundred people, including actors, readers, and safety staff. Francesco Toni once again played Jesus, in an evening of great spiritual intensity in the heart of the Castelli Romani.
