Animare 2025: The 15th Edition

The 2025 edition of Animare confirmed the festival's travelling format, opening on June 20 at the Arena della Rocca in Bertinoro and continuing throughout the summer with stops in Fratta Terme (Piazza Colitto) and Lido di Classe (Arena del Sole) on June 27, in Castrocaro Terme on July 3, and in Forlì on July 12, before reaching Carrara in Tuscany on August 10 and Petralia Sottana, in the province of Palermo, on August 22.

Competing are six animated short films selected by Sedicicorto from 1,955 works from 106 countries: among the titles are the French films Quak, El Dorado, Yacht, and Tailess, and the American films Express Photo and Forever Green. The audience of children aged 2 to 13 voted for their favourite film using the characteristic coloured sticks, awarding the winner the Luminòr trophy and a prize of 300 euros.
