A market from the fifteenth century

The Angel Market in Soresina, in the province of Cremona, is a tradition that has been renewed since 1492: over five centuries of history for one of the most deeply rooted extraordinary markets in Lombardy. It is held every year on Angel Monday, Easter Monday, and for an entire day it enlivens the town's historic center.

Stalls and typical products in the historic center

The market winds through the streets and squares of the center — via Genala, Via Barbo, Via Monti, Piazza Garibaldi, Via Robbiani — with hundreds of stalls and stands. Ample space is dedicated to the typical gastronomic products of the area, on a day that combines outdoor shopping with the taste of the Po Valley tradition.

Entertainment and shows

The celebration goes beyond the market: the day is enlivened by stilt walkers, clowns, and jugglers, dance performances, the concert of the municipal band, and themed art exhibitions, often dedicated to the figure of the Angel. Local associations and the Pro Loco involve families and children with initiatives such as the Easter egg hunt.

Organized by the Pro Loco Soresina, the Angel Market is much more than a market: it is an event of identity that, every Easter Monday, attracts visitors from all over the province of Cremona and beyond, intertwining historical memory, commerce, gastronomy, and popular celebration.
