Ancient Festival of the Carmine of Sorio

The 2025 edition of the Ancient Festival of the Carmine of Sorio, the 327th, took place from July 18 to 21 in the hamlet of Gambellara, in the province of Vicenza. As per centuries-old tradition, the festival began with celebrations in honor of the Madonna del Carmelo, then came alive each evening with the gastronomic stand, famous for its mixed fried fish and traditional Venetian dishes, and a rich program of music and shows. The festival, organized by the Sorio Committee among the vineyards of the DOC Gambellara, concluded with the usual fireworks display, reaffirming its status as one of the most beloved and long-standing festivals in the Vicenza area.
