Edition 2025 — Ammuccamu

Ammuccamu Food Festival is an event launched in 2026; no edition took place in 2025 under this name. The Sedicinoni association, the festival's creator, was already active in Augusta with other cultural initiatives in the historic center, such as the Shortini Film Festival, laying the groundwork for the birth of Ammuccamu the following year.

Before 2026: the origins of Ammuccamu

Ammuccamu Food Festival is a newly established event: its first edition took place in Augusta, in the province of Syracuse, only in 2026. Therefore, no edition of the food festival was held in 2025 under this name.

The idea comes from the Sedicinoni cultural association, already present in the Augusta area with projects to revitalize the historic center. Among these was the Shortini Film Festival, which was held again in 2025 in the same city context—an experience that helped mature the project of a large festival dedicated to food and conviviality, which then materialized in 2026 with Ammuccamu.
