Amiata Walking Marathon 2025
On Sunday, July 27, 2025, Piancastagnaio hosted a new edition of the Amiata Walking Marathon, starting at 8:00 AM from the Rocca Aldobrandesca. The approximately 400 registered walkers covered the 10, 18, and 42 km tracks through the alleys of the historic center and the trails of Mount Amiata.
The Pro Loco of Piancastagnaio, with the support of the "Camminiamo Insieme" group, the Misericordia, and the municipal administration, highlighted the success of the event, described as a festive immersion in the nature and community spirit of the Amiata territory.
