Edition 2025 — Amatrice-Cardito Re-enactment

In 2025, the memory of the Amatrice-Cardito hill climb remained alive thanks to the passion of vintage car clubs in the Rieti area. The event confirms the bond between Amatrice, in the province of Rieti, and classic motoring, as part of a journey to promote the Alta Sabina territory and support the rebirth of the village affected by the 2016 earthquake.

Motoring tradition in Amatrice

The Amatrice-Cardito Historical Re-enactment has its roots in one of the most famous hill climb races in Lazio, held until the early 1990s along the road that reaches the hamlet of Cardito from Amatrice. The appeal of that competition continues to involve enthusiasts and vintage car clubs in the province of Rieti, guardians of a motoring memory that the territory has never stopped celebrating.

The event is part of a broader calendar of meetings dedicated to vintage vehicles promoted by ASI and the Club Autostoriche Rieti, testifying to how a passion for motors can become an opportunity for meeting and relaunching a community in the central Apennines.
