Altino Sweet Pepper Festival and Culinary Palio of the Districts

The 16th edition (2025) of the Altino Sweet Pepper Festival was held on August 22 and 23, 2025, starting at 7:00 PM, in the historic center of Altino (Chieti, Abruzzo). The star of the show was the Culinary Palio of the Districts, with the village's seven districts—Altino, Briccioli, Fonte Lama, Le 6 Quartier, Le Vrecciuole sott'a lu monde, Mmèzze a mbrène, and Serranelle—committed to menus curated with local biodiversity products.

The event featured seven musical groups, one for each square, with roaming music and, after midnight, music and pepper-infused cocktails for younger crowds. Five regional wineries were present with quality wines, along with five ticket sales points with POS, four shuttles (one dedicated to the elderly and people with reduced mobility), parking, civil protection, a fire brigade team, and a medical station. A well-attended edition that confirmed Altino as one of the reference gastronomic villages of inland Abruzzo.
