Altino Carnival

The 2025 Carnival in Altino, in the province of Chieti, was part of the rich calendar of Abruzzese carnivals that animate the region's municipalities every year between February and early March. In the small village overlooking the Aventino Valley, the festival maintained its most authentic and rustic dimension: colorful masks, joy in the streets of the center, and the participation of local families.

As per Abruzzese tradition, there was no shortage of typical Carnival flavors, with fried pastries prepared according to local customs. An event that confirmed the vitality of the popular festivals in Altino, a Sangro-Aventino village also known for its famous Sweet Pepper.
