Edition 2025 — Alpenoca

In the summer of 2025, Santa Maria del Taro, a mountain hamlet of Tornolo in the upper Val Taro, also experienced its traditional season of outdoor events and gatherings. Amidst nature, forests, and the flavours of the Parma Apennines, the Emilian village closest to the Ligurian Sea welcomed holidaymakers and visitors drawn by its mountains and its traditional roots.

In the summer of 2025, Santa Maria del Taro, one of the most characteristic hamlets of the Municipality of Tornolo, in the province of Parma, continued its long tradition of village festivals and events. Nestled in the upper Val Taro, a short distance from the Ligurian border and the Bocco Pass, the village comes alive each year during the summer months thanks to the efforts of the Pro Loco and the arrival of numerous holidaymakers.

From excursions in the woods, discovering waterfalls and old mines, to moments dedicated to local gastronomy—with the famous bacciocca among its signature dishes—the 2025 season confirmed the charm of this corner of Emilia-Romagna overlooking the Apennine mountains.
