Alimena Bread Festival

The fifth edition of 2025

The 5th edition of the Alimena Bread Festival was held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at Parco della Mazza, in Alimena (Province of Palermo). The event, organized by the "A Casazza" Association, transformed the park into a large laboratory of flavors.

Visitors were able to taste various varieties of local durum wheat bread accompanied by traditional specialties: bread with sausage, boiled chickpeas, hard-boiled eggs, pecorino cheese, wine, and the typical biscuit to dip in wine. Alongside the tastings, the exhibition of utensils and agricultural tools and demonstrations of harvesting and wheat processing stages told the story of the peasant memory of the Madonie village.
